Dominic Tyler

Parish Councillor

I was born in Hull and have lived in Yorkshire for most of life apart from a 7-year stint in the Armed Forces. I moved to the Selby area 17 years ago, I have lived in Hemingbrough, Cliffe, Ulleskelf and Wistow. Moving to Wistow in January 2019, my daughter attended SmartStart and now attends Wistow Primary school.

I have been involved in the community in all the places I have lived, heavily involved in the football network of Selby as a player and a coach.

Love living in Wistow, you can often see me (daily) walking around the lordship with my dog Flynn and my family.

Professionally I am involved in renewable energy, this could include small retrofit measures at our homes or large electric producing power stations such as Ferrybridge.

I am former Chairman of SmartStart Pre-School and try to help whenever I can in the community, I live in. Being from an Ex-Forces background I do a lot for Military Charities most notably SAAFA.

Hobbies & Interests:

Football – I am a level 2 FA Coach, Referee and Season Ticket holder at Liverpool Football Club with my son.

Love Motorcycles and Cars.

I love the outdoors, fitness and anything water related – Kayaking, Swimming, Jet Skiing

I joined the Parish Council to help the voice of the village residents to be heard and action taken to issues of concern.
