Vacancy for Wistow Parish Councillor (2 Vacancies)
Co-opting of councillors under The Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) Rules 1986
We are looking for people living in the village who would like to help in keeping Wistow a great place to live. As a Parish Councillor you will need to be available to attend Parish Council Meetings, and have an enthusiasm to help the community and village become a better place for all. Working with likeminded people you may have skills that would enhance the council bringing a more diverse thinking.

To be a Parish Councillor, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Have the required citizenship (s.79 LGA 1972)
and at least one of the following:
- At the date of your application are an elector for the Parish of Wistow
or
- At the date of your application you have, during the whole of the past 12 months have occupied (as owner or tenant) land or other premises in the Parish
or
- At the date of your application, had your principal or only place of work during the whole of the past 12 months, in the Parish
or
- At the date of your application you have, during the whole of the past 12 months lived within the Parish or within three miles of the Parish boundary
