My Name is Samantha ( Sam) and I have recently been appointed as Clerk to the Parish Council after covering the previous clerk and supporting the council temporarily.
I am mum to 2 children, Jake and Ruby, and lived in Wistow for 13 years. I work full time in education as both an office manager at a local village primary school as well as a professional clerk for NYC School Improvement supporting 12 local primary schools.
I think that it is important to play a role in supporting local communities and have served on a voluntary basis on both the Smartstart Pre School Committee achieving an ‘Outstanding’ accreditation during my time in post as well as Vice Chair of Governors to Wistow Primary School. I am currently both the treasurer and trustee of the Jubilee Village Hall and have always contributed to fundraising events in the village such as the Scarecrow Festival.
I have a passion for football and play an active role in the local football club ( UJFC) and enjoy heading back home to watch my childhood team Crystal Palace. In addition to this I am a huge motorsport fan, enjoy running and keeping fit as well as baking and so you will often find me knocking a few sweet treats out the kitchen for various village events.
